Capturing Love as a Second Photographer with Images by Daniel Michael at St. Xavier Church
When it comes to iconic Cincinnati wedding venues, St. Xavier Church is hard to beat. Recently, I had the incredible experience of second shooting a wedding there with Images by Daniel Michael. From the grand architecture of the church to the intimate moments shared by the couple, it was a day filled with beauty, tradition, and love—and I’m thrilled to share some highlights from my perspective as a second photographer.
Second shooting with Images by Daniel Michael is always a wonderful experience. Daniel’s creative direction and primary focus allowed me the freedom to get creative with shots that complemented his work. Working together, we could fully tell the couple’s story, covering every angle and making sure no moment went unnoticed.
Being a second photographer also means anticipating the next big moment and supporting the lead photographer’s vision, which I did by staying ready for transitions, moving in sync, and communicating when needed. Together, we documented the ceremony with depth and variety, delivering a complete visual story for the couple.
